On October 23rd, Chad, Lauren, and I took Charlie to see his first "Big Kid" show. We picked a Disney On Ice show, at GMU's arena, and invited the Ackermann's to join us.
It was a surprise, and Charlie was so excited when he started seeing the Mickey Mouse pictures on the walk in. We grabbed some popcorn and waters before finding our seats. From previous shows, Chad and I knew that they would try to sell us overpriced light-up toys, so I went to WalMart ahead of time and bought some stuff to surprise the kids.
The show was great, and Charlie did really good for most of it. Lauren sat still throughout the show, but Charlie felt like moving around towards the end. So poor Chad was on kid wrangling duty. It wasn't too bad except for the fact that the seats were really steep and we were worried about Charlie taking a header down the stairs. Luckily, Chad is a big guy and could keep him from falling!!
But all in all, it was a lot of fun, and I can definitely see taking Lauren and Charlie to future shows.
