Easter 2014

Technically this post is a little out of order, but I wanted to mention Easter.  This year, I wanted to make sure we were able to color some eggs.  We went with a princess theme and Lauren really loved putting the eggs in the color cups.  They turned out really great and we did not even have much of a mess!!

This year we stayed in Fairfax, because I could not travel to Salisbury so close to my due date.  Instead, Grumpa, Grammy, Grandpa and Mee-maw came up to celebrate with us.  That morning, we woke up and Lauren was able to come down to see what the Easter Bunny left her.  She must have been a very good girl last year, because she got some great stuff.

That afternoon, we went outside and had a little Easter Egg Hunt.  Sprinkled among all of the eggs were little Jake & The Neverland Pirate figurines.  It was fun watching Lauren discover all of the stuff hidden in the bushes and her basket quickly filled up.

That evening we enjoyed a delicious dinner, prepared by Mee-maw and Aunt B.  After dinner, the grandparents relaxed and watched some episodes of Homeland, Chad watched Hockey, Lauren went to bed, and I began having contractions.  It was a great Easter, but I am looking forward to seeing how different our Easter will be next year, now that Charlie has joined our family!!
