Lauren at 3.5 Years Old!

Once again, we celebrated a small milestone while we were in the middle of settling into our new house.  On September 15, 2014, Lauren turned 3.5 years old.  And boy has she grown up into quite the little girl!!

She weighs 32 pounds and is 39 inches tall!!

Right now, her daily schedule looks like this...

8:30 - 9:00 am:  Wake up
9:00 - 12: 30:  Breakfast & play time
12:30 - 1:30: Lunch time
1:30 - 3:30:  Nap time
3:30 - 6:00: Snack time and more play time
6:30: Dinner
7:30: Start bedtime routine
8:00: Bedtime

She is currently taking dance classes every Thursday morning and loves putting on her ballet and tap shoes.  She has been following her teacher's instructions really well and has actually started to learn some dance technique.  On most days, you will find her dancing to music on her "stage", which is the step, leading from the family room to the kitchen.

Some of her favorite things include:

• Octonauts, Octonauts and more Octonauts
• Riding her little red tricycle around the neighborhood
• Singing songs (usually Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star or the ABCs)
• Singing while Grandpa plays his guitar
• Dancing
• Chasing Wrigley in circles around the house
• Anything with an owl on it (We call them her CuWHOties)
• Taking care of her baby brother
• Bubble baths in Mommy & Daddy's big bathtub
• Kicking the football in the backyard, with Daddy
• Playing games and doing puzzles
• Showing off her new house to guests
• Counting from 1 to 10 (she gets her teens confused, so we are still working on those)
• Taking photographs of everything!!      

                                     

Some of her favorite foods right now are:

• Grilled cheese sandwiches
• Pringles
• Mac n Cheese
• Chicken Nuggets
• French Fries
• Apple Slices
• Apple Sauce
• Bananas
• Yogurt
• Any breakfast food
• Spaghetti
• Chicken noodle soup
• Broccoli Cheddar soup
• Granola bars
• Popcorn

• "It's OK Buddy" (While talking to Charlie)

• "My tummy's talking" (When she is hungry)
• "Be careful Daddy" (When he climbed up into the attic)
• "Tag, your it"
• "I will eat that when I get bigger" (when looking at food she doesn't like)
• "Faster Faster"

                 

Lauren is turning into such a sweet and cute little girl.  Her vocabulary has really increased, and she has a very happy personality.  She loves being around her family and is very vocal about the things she likes and dislikes.  Luckily, she enjoys being a second mommy to Charlie and has been a huge help during the day.  She is always very good at getting his pacifier or distracting him with toys when he starts to cry.  We are very proud of the big sister she is becoming and cannot wait to watch how she changes over the years.
