Thanksgiving 2014!!

This year, Chad, Lauren, Charlie, Wrigley and I headed to the Fisher's house for Thanksgiving.  It began to snow on Wednesday morning, so we decided to get out of town as early as possible.  The day before Thanksgiving is already a horrible travel day around the DC metro area, and we did not want to get stuck sitting out on the highway.  But we were not allowed to leave before I got some photos of the first snow of the season, and the first snow at our new house!   Lauren was thrilled, but Charlie was not impressed.

Thanksgiving weekend was a whirlwind of family, food, shopping, football, and more food!!  We enjoyed a delicious dinner together and I even dressed up the kiddos for the occasion.  (I secretly wanted to see how Charlie would look in formal wear for B and Kevin's wedding).

Grumpa teased Charlie a little bit by putting a turkey leg on his high chair tray.  The joke will be on Grumpa, next year, when he begins sucking down the coveted turkey legs!!

And Lauren got to make a wish when she won the larger piece of the wishbone!  She was surprised o get the bigger piece and immediately told us that she was wishing for more snow.  Me too, Lauren!!

It was a great weekend.  We have so much to be thankful for, and I will always look forward to a day full of family and my favorite foods.  Although the turkey sandwiches, on the following day, are pretty awesome as well!.

We headed home that Saturday, but the recovery was short lived.  Thanksgiving was just the start-off to an even crazier December!!
