Charlie had his 18 month check up while Chad and I were in the Cayman Islands. Grammy and Grumpa made the trip to the doctor's office and made sure he got his needed vaccines and checked in with the doctor. Charlie is growing well and luckily there were no problems!
Charlie now weighs 25 pounds 10 oz and is 32.3 inches long.
It seems like he is changing daily, which is normal for this age, but it is fun to watch!
Charlie still loves to eat most foods we give him, although he seems to be wearing them more with each meal. Apparently, it is really fun to rub spaghetti noodles or BBQ chicken on his head.

Since his last check up, Charlie has begun to mellow out. Before, he would scream, at the top of his lungs, whenever he wanted something. Now he points at what he wants and makes quieter sounds. Of course, the screaming comes when we ignore him or don't move fast enough, but it is progress.
Also, he has begun using some sign language to communicate with us. Some of it is correct, and some of it is Charlie's version. He knows the sign for "more" and "milk". He has a sign he always uses when he is done and when he wants to be picked up. This has also helped with the screaming.
Finally, he has stopped throwing his milk and food around as much. He still does it, and always with a mischievous smile, but it is not as often. Once again, progress is good!! =)
Despite the screaming and food throwing, these past few months have been a lot of fun and I cannot wait to see how he has changed by his second birthday!!
