Fall Fun 2015

This year we had a nice Fall.  Due to all of Lauren's extra-curricular activities and our full schedules, it was hard to find time to fit everything in.  We knew we wanted to pick pumpkins, and we wanted to do the corn maze again.

Luckily, we found a weekend in October that worked.  So Mee-maw and Grandpa decided to come up.  We watched one of Lauren's soccer games, and headed west to Hollins Farms for some pumpkin picking.  It was a chilly day, but the beautiful spot made the experience enjoyable.  We found some great pumpkins and even got in a few cute photos.

Mee-maw and Grandpa had to go home Saturday afternoon, so Chad, Lauren, Charlie, and I went to the corn maze the next day.  Once again, it was another chilly day, but we made it through the maze in less than a half hour. I couldn't believe how quickly we did it.  They said that you should trust the instinct of young kids, because they manage to get through the maze quickly, and they were right.  Lauren always seemed to pick the right route!

After the maze, we hung out and allowed the kids an opportunity to go down some slides, play in a mini corn maze, sling some pumpkins across a field, run through an obstacle course, and look at some farm animals.

It was a great weekend.  We packed a lot of stuff into two days, but everyone had fun and we kept up some good family traditions.  I look forward to picking pumpkins at Hollins Farm and braving the corn maze every year!!
