Lauren's 1st Class Field Trip

Lauren's pre-school had a class field trip to a local pumpkin patch this year.  Grammy and Grumpa were already up, visiting, so she and I took Lauren for the morning.  Grumpa stayed home with Charlie.

We drove to Leesburg, met up with the school, got our tickets, and headed into the park.  First stop, the petting zoo!  Lauren got to pet baby goats, llamas, alpacas, donkeys and pigs.  We had a small bag of food and she happily put her hands out to feed each animal.  Eventually, the goats figured out it was easier to go after the bag, in Grammy's hand, than wait for Lauren to feed them.  And we all got a good laugh out of how persistent those goats could be!

Then it was on to the second part of the park.  Lauren made a beeline for the zipline.  She climbed right up, flew down the line, and immediately got back in line to go again.  She also tried a huge slide, multiple times.  And enjoyed a bouncy house, a hayride, and an obstacle course.  We picked up a few small pumpkins on the way out and headed back to the house.

It was a really fun morning!!  I enjoyed having some one on one time with Lauren and it was fun watching her participate in everything!  I look forward to many more field trips with the kiddos.
