We arrived the evening of Friday, September 2nd. We said hello to everyone in the hotel and put the kids to bed. Mee-maw, Grandpa, Grammy, Grumpa, Aunt Sarah, Uncle Kevin, and Quinnie were already up there.
The next morning, we met downstairs for breakfast and headed out for Hershey Park! It was beautiful out and we filled the entire day with rides and fun!
Lauren still measured as a Reeces and Charlie was a Hershey Mini (although I think he was really borderline to being a Kiss this year)
After getting into the park, we walked over to the kiddie rides. We wanted to let Charlie and Quinnie get their feet wet and try out some of the tamer rides. Lauren was just excited to ride as many rides as possible. We started with the helicopter ride, so Aunt Sarah and I could come along. Charlie did not want to get on the ride. He screamed and cried, until the ride started, then he happily hit the buttons and smiled at everyone. Quinnie was not very pleased beforehand, but she also seemed to relax once the ride started.
From that point on, Charlie was more than happy to get on the rides and even began going on some of the smaller ones himself. Otherwise, he was more than happy to drag his grandparents along with him. Lauren patiently rode the smaller rides, but kept her eyes on the bigger rides, waiting for her chance!

Slowly, we made our way towards the bigger rides, to let Lauren have some fun. She rode a jr. roller coaster and flew way above our heads on the Falcon.
Then it was time for our annual lunch stop and skee ball competition. Every year, we have played skee ball, as a family, until we have enough tickets to get the large stuffed animal for one of the kids. The first year, Lauren got the stuffed animal, the second year, Charlie was a baby, so he got the stuffed animal, and this year, Quinnie was the lucky recipient. It took a while, but we managed to get a large minion. (Not as big as the minion Kevin won last year, but still big for Quinnie).
Also, during this time, Chad and I experienced a moment of extreme panic when we lost Charlie. He was playing next to Grumpa one minute and then was gone the next. We began to look around the arcade, and when it became apparent that he was not there, I searched outside and tried hard not to panic. Afterall, Hershey is a large place for a little guy, but he had only been gone a minute. Sure enough, as soon as I walked outside, I looked up the hill and saw him running down towards me with the biggest smile on his face. After that, Charlie went back in the stroller for a while!!
Lauren tried her hand at one of the arcade game and managed to win a small stingray for herself and one for Charlie. Such a good big sister!!
While Charlie and Quinnie napped in their strollers, Lauren got to enjoy cotton candy and some more big kid rides.

We posed for some family photos, and although we did not get any character pictures this year, they still turned out pretty cute!

To finish off a long day, Chad and I took the kids on one of the more fun kiddie rides. Rocket ships, that the passenger can move up and down with a joystick. Lauren wanted to ride Boys v. Girls, so Chad went with Charlie and I went with Lauren. We had quite a fierce competition to see who could get up the highest and stay there the longest. I think we both got up the highest, Chad and Charlie probably got there first, but Lauren and I stayed put once we were up!
