However, Tuesday morning, Charlie woke up sick. I checked Lauren, and since she was not showing any symptoms, we quickly shipped her off to school to keep her away from Charlie's germs. Then I scooted Chad out of the house and asked both of them to steer clear from Charlie and I. Given the nasty nature of this virus, I pretty much resigned myself to getting sick as well.
Despite all of our best efforts, Tuesday night, Chad came down with the virus and boy was he down for the count. Right before it was time to wake Lauren up for school, I got sick. I was already wondering how we were going to take care of the kids, and wouldn't you know, Charlie felt back to normal on Wednesday. Lucky us!! So I watched him until his nap, and finally crawled into bed. Chad woke up, late that afternoon, to get Lauren off of the school bus. It was a very rough day for us.
Like clockwork, Lauren got sick late Thursday night, but she only got sick once and then felt much better within hours. We sequestered ourselves, stayed home the rest of the week, and kept our fingers crossed that we would be healthy enough to head up to Hershey Park for the weekend.
