Local Family Fun

This summer, we discovered a new ice cream shop, and to say we are addicted is putting it mildly.  The portions are huge and the ice cream is delicious.  Lauren loves the oreo scoops, I cannot get enough of the campfire smores ice cream, and Chad loves the cookie shakes.  Charlie is not a big fan of ice cream (he would rather have a bigger dinner), but he will take an occasionally taste and loves the lemonade.

I think we have been there at least once a week since it opened up this summer!!

   

We also enjoyed an outdoor family movie, put on by the neighborhood social committee.  They held it at one of the playgound and had ice cream and all you could eat popcorn.  We packed up some chairs, a blanket, and additional snacks.  The kids ran around while we waited for a small rain shower to pass and for the sun to set.  Once it got dark, the movie started.  We watched Zootopia, one of Lauren's favorites, and it was adorable.  Both kids did a great job sitting and watching the movie.  

                     

We have done a lot of traveling this summer.  And while we love seeing all of our family and friends, it was nice to also nice to find some fun around home!!!
