Charlie's First Capitals Game.

When Lauren was a baby, Chad and Uncle Ryan still had their season tickets for the Washington Capitals.  We managed to take her to a few games before she was even a year old, and it was so much fun.

Once Charlie came along, Chad and Uncle Ryan had given up their tickets, and opportunities to take Charlie to the game were not as abundant.  So when we were offered 4 tickets to a Sunday afternoon game against the Philadelphia Flyers, we jumped at the chance.

It was on January 15, 2017, and we were in the Ennis Electric seats.  We had lunch at Bar Louie, right next to the arena, and then headed in to our seats.  The kids were so excited and did so well during the game.  I wasn't sure if we would be able to stay the entire time, given the attention spans of a nearly 6 year old and a nearly 3 year old, but they both watched the game or snuggled on our laps.  It was a lot of fun.

Chad and I are excited to take them to another game next year and hopefully they will be even more interested in the game.  Lauren has certainly taken quite an interest in the goalies, after playing in the goal for her hockey team, and Charlie might find it more interesting after getting more practice ice skating.

But if nothing else, at least we can look forward to exhausted kiddos after the game!  =)
