New Years Celebration

This year, the crew all came over to our house to celebrate New Year's Eve.  The Shafers, including E's softball friend Abby, came along with Rick Nelson, John Albers, and Mike O'Connell!  This is one of our favorite holidays because we celebrate with our close friends and the kids get some extra time together.

We mostly hung out in the basement.  There was good food, great drinks, football games, and plenty of air hockey competition.  But most importantly, we facetimed with our other close friends, the Levy Family.  They stayed in Arizona for the holidays, but we were not going to miss some holiday time with them as well.  The kids talked to each other for a bit, and then we called them back once the kids were in bed.

At this point, we were close to midnight, so we counted down with everyone (including the Levys on facetime) and spent the rest of the night hanging out.  We even got in our traditional game of "Cards Against Humanity".

The next day, we all watched some basketball while we recovered, and the kids played outside in some beautiful weather!!

It is always nice to spend time with these friends, and Chad and I hope that we will always be able to continue our New Years Eve tradition!!
