Meemaw's Birthday and Lauren Gets Back On The Tennis Court

Lauren was in school on Meemaw's birthday, so we headed to Salisbury the following weekend to celebrate.  We had a yummy dinner with Grandpa, Meemaw, Aunt Sarah, Uncle Kevin, Grammy, Grumpa, and Pastor Patty.  We also spent some time relaxing and playing around the house, and even taught Lauren how to stick balloons on to the wall by rubbing them against your hair.  She had so much fun with this new trick!!

Then Lauren asked if we could go play tennis!  Of course, we had to go play.  Tennis is a big deal in the Pali house, and we were so excited that Lauren wanted to give it a try that weekend.

We headed to Salisbury University's courts, and played for over 2 hours.  We had to drag Lauren off the court!!

Charlie played for a little bit, but he was more interested in Quinnie and her toys!

           

It was so fun to see both Lauren and Charlie take an interest in tennis.  Lauren has a lot of potential to be a great player.  We told her that she could get an ice cream if she hit the ball ten times in a row.  And she hit ball after ball until she did it.  She even went so far as to hit the ball fourteen times in a row!!  I hope she continues with the sport and enjoys it as much as her mom, aunt Sarah, Grandpa, and Meemaw have!!
