This spring, Lauren asked us to register her for soccer again. Since we already bought the uniform and she seemed very excited about playing, we went ahead and signed her up.
She was part of the Wildcats this year, and although her soccer skills did not really improve, she still had a lot of fun. She still needs to work on her competitive spirit and go after the ball, but she always listened really well and tried really hard in practice. We can't really ask for much more at 5 years old!!
Charlie had fun watching his big sister playing soccer. But after a few minutes, he would decide to run around and try kicking her soccer ball. It is crazy how much he tries to keep up with the big kids. Time will tell if he becomes a soccer player. Until then, Chad will try to distract him with a ride on his shoulders. It is the only way to keep Charlie contained in an open field area! =)
